Ghosts Weekender
Up the Junction - Lesmahagow 23-25 June 2006
Officially
, commitments meant I couldn't attend this weekender, but I was
free by Saturday 12pm so I called Gary to see if he fancied doing
his first 200 miles running in on his new scoot by nipping through
to Lesmahagow - and he duly obliged.
A nice (very) leisurely jaunt along some country roads - through
some towns I'd never heard of... stopping once for coffee and
once for fuel.
Once at the site, we meandered about the stalls , café
(had a chicken burger as you do) and checked out the campsite
for any well known reprabates.
We found Minxxy - half couped and feeling a little worse for wear
- a sign that the Friday 'do' must have been good.
There was quite a good attendance spread over the campsite area
and stalls/bar area with the usual high-jinx going down.
Unfortunately - seeing as we were averaging 45mph, we had to leave
within an hour of getting there, so I'm not the best person to
be telling you how good this weekender looked to have been - maybe
Geoff (who left early on Saturday to avoid our planned race) can
do me a Friday night review... ? And Minxxy one for Saturday ??
I get the feeling this will be one to try to stay over for in
future.
Oh...almost forgot...here's
a wee video of the music that kept people 'going' all night
on Friday... although apparently it was 3 albums of Spear of Destiny
